MSI Computer Japan will launch the "MAG VIEW XPANDER 12 / WHITE," a 12.3-inch LCD display that combines PC aesthetic enhancement with system monitoring, on October 30th. The price will be 19,980 yen. Ahead of the official release, pre-orders will begin on October 16th at various retailers including Amazon, TSUKUMO, Bic Camera Group, ZOA, PC Ones, XPRICE, Yodobashi Camera, PC Kobo, PC SHOP Ark, and Joshin.
The MAG VIEW XPANDER 12 / WHITE features a 12.3-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1920x720 and a 60Hz refresh rate. It can be switched to an extended display mode via MSI Center, allowing users to not only monitor system status, such as CPU and GPU conditions, but also display the time or their favorite images. Its key characteristic is its ability to function as a sub-monitor while simultaneously enhancing the aesthetic appeal inside the PC.
Installation methods are also flexible; in addition to desktop placement using the included magnetic stand, it also supports 360mm radiator mounts and L-shaped bracket mounts. For connectivity, two types of cables are included: a Type-C to USB 2.0 cable for connecting to an internal USB pin header on the motherboard, and a Type-C to Type-A cable for connecting to a standard USB port. This design makes it easy to switch between internal case wiring and external desktop connections.
Available in two colors, black and white, the color scheme extends not only to the main unit but also to the included cables. This makes it easy to integrate into custom PC builds, including pillarless cases, and is ideal for users who prioritize a cohesive aesthetic. The dimensions are approximately 326mm (width) x 135mm (depth) x 16mm (height), and it weighs 1.13kg.
