Elecom will make its debut appearance at "The 18th Site World 2026," a comprehensive event for the visually impaired, held from October 22nd to 24th at Sumida Sangyo Kaikan Sunrise Hall. At Booth No. 32, the company will showcase products such as the "Mobile Battery with Haptic Feedback," developed through co-creation with visually impaired users, and provide an opportunity for visitors to experience them firsthand.
A highlight product is the "Mobile Battery with Haptic Feedback," set to launch in November 2025. This inclusive design product, born from dialogues with visually impaired users, aims to enhance ease of use by conveying tactile feedback during operation. Visitors at the venue will be able to hold the product themselves and discover the innovative features and development story behind it.
The exhibition will also feature other products designed to assist with the operation of everyday digital devices, such as PCs and gaming equipment. Visitors will be able to examine the layout of keys and buttons, the tactile feel when held, and overall operability on-site. This makes the exhibition valuable not only for visually impaired individuals but also for their families, caregivers, welfare and education professionals, and anyone interested in product development.
Site World is a comprehensive event that brings together products and services specifically designed for visual impairment. This year marks its 18th iteration since its inception in 2006. Organized by the Site World Executive Committee, the event features exhibitions that prioritize interaction between exhibitors and visitors, alongside lectures, symposiums, and hands-on experiences. Through its debut participation, Elecom aims to integrate feedback gathered from the event into its future product development.
