Hang the Camera from Your Neck, and Then Just "Look"!?
At the Insta360 booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026, various shooting equipment and accessories were on display, including new gimbal camera products.
Insta360 is a video equipment brand established in 2015. It has expanded its product categories to include 360-degree cameras, action cameras, smartphone gimbals, webcams, and more. In June 2026, they announced the "Insta360 Luna Ultra," a 3-axis gimbal camera co-developed with Leica.
What was particularly interesting at that booth was the hands-free shooting using a gimbal camera hung from the neck. By attaching the camera to a dedicated neck mount, you can shoot first-person perspective footage while keeping both hands free.
If You Turn Right, the Camera Turns Right Too! The "POV Head Tracker" is Fascinating

What was even more surprising was its combination with the "POV Head Tracker," worn on the head. When connected to the camera via Bluetooth, it detects the direction of your head, and the gimbal follows, allowing you to point the camera in the direction you are looking. In other words, even without manually operating the camera, if you turn your face to "look over there," the camera will follow along.
Gimbals, which used to only suppress camera shake, now detect and move in the "direction the shooter is looking." This shooting experience, like bringing a game's first-person perspective directly into the real world, is definitely something you should try at the TGS venue.
