JAPANNEXT announced on October 29th the launch of the "JN-Si98U-24," a large 4K digital signage monitor equipped with a 98-inch IPS panel and designed for 24/7 continuous operation. The direct sales price is 888,800 yen. This product is intended for a wide range of applications, including information display in commercial facilities and stores, material presentation in conference rooms, and video viewing. A 5-year warranty model, "JN-Si98U-24-H5," will also be available on the same day for 977,680 yen.
The JN-Si98U-24 is a large display supporting 4K resolution (3840x2160 dots), providing approximately four times the workspace of Full HD. A key feature is its wide 178-degree viewing angles (horizontal and vertical), characteristic of IPS panels, which minimizes color and contrast shifts regardless of viewing position. It boasts a maximum brightness of 500cd/㎡ and supports HDR400 equivalent display, designed to render gradations in bright and dark areas more naturally.
For interfaces, it is equipped with 2x HDMI 2.0, 1x DisplayPort 1.4, and 1x VGA, allowing connection to a variety of devices such as PCs, STBs, home gaming consoles, and HDMI-compatible Blu-ray disc players. The inclusion of a VGA port and audio input port makes it easy to integrate into existing environments. Note that the USB-A port is exclusively for firmware updates and does not support media player functionality for USB flash drive playback.
For installation, it supports 800x400mm VESA mounting and includes wall-mounting brackets for wall installation. While a freestanding stand is not included, it offers practical features geared towards business use, such as a remote control, 10W x 2 speakers, and flicker-free support. Dimensions are approximately 1245mm (H) x 2187mm (W) x 45mm (D), with a weight of approximately 51.4kg. In addition to the 3-year warranty model, the 5-year warranty model "JN-Si98U-24-H5" will also be released simultaneously.
