Elecom will release the "ACDC-PD132140BK" AC charger in late October, priced at 12,980 yen. This charger supports a maximum output of 140W and simultaneous charging of up to four devices. It features three USB Type-C ports and one USB-A port, allowing users to charge laptops, tablets, smartphones, and more all at once.
Its most significant feature is the power display on an LCD screen, which shows the charging status of each port using both bars and numerical values. This allows users to see not only the total output but also the wattage each port is operating at, making it easy to monitor charging progress even when multiple devices are connected simultaneously. Furthermore, an outer ring on the LCD screen indicates changes in the unit's temperature, glowing green during normal operation and orange when output is restricted due to rising temperatures.
When using a single port, the USB Type-C1/C2 ports support a maximum output of 140W, making it suitable for fast-charging high-performance Windows laptops and MacBooks. In addition to the USB Power Delivery standard, it also supports EPR, EPR AVS, and PPS standards, allowing for a wide range of applications from mobile devices like iPhones and iPads to equipment requiring high power output. Moreover, it incorporates Thermal Protection, which monitors and controls the temperature during power supply, ensuring safety.
Another notable aspect is its adoption of GaN II Plus technology, which achieves both high output and a compact form factor. The product complies with Japan's Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act (PSE) and is designed exclusively for domestic use. Please note that charging cables are not included and must be purchased separately.
