Yamaha announced that its latest Wi-Fi 7 compatible wireless LAN access points, the "WLX333" and "WLX232," have won the "Good Design Award" at the "2026 Good Design Award" hosted by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion (a public interest incorporated foundation).

The "WLX333" and "WLX232" are Wi-Fi 7 compatible wireless LAN access points that, in addition to offering faster speeds and lower latency, achieve stable communication even in congested environments. They provide a comfortable network environment that supports smooth business operations in various settings such as offices, educational institutions, and medical facilities.

During the judging, the pursuit of a product's "expression" and harmony with its space was highly praised, a contrast to infrastructure equipment where functionality and ease of installation have traditionally tended to be prioritized. Regarding the black skeleton specification in particular, the judges commented, "It's interesting that the circuit board and LEDs are treated not as internal mechanisms to be hidden, but rather as elements to be deliberately showcased. The shadows and reflections cast on the three-dimensional curved surfaces are beautiful, and by considering performance, structure, and material expression as a unified whole, this design demonstrates a new approach to infrastructure equipment."
