Yamaha has released new firmware for its RTX1300 and RTX840 routers. The updates, Rev.23.00.20 for the RTX1300 and Rev.23.02.03 for the RTX840, introduce several common enhancements. These include support for DNS snooping, HTTPS connectivity for the Web GUI, and a crucial specification change: internet access can now be maintained even if the LAN side is in a link-down state during an IPoE (DHCP) connection.
