OneDrive storage, which previously allowed up to six family members to utilize a maximum of 6TB, will now be capped at 2TB for the entire subscription. Microsoft has changed the storage allocation for Microsoft 365 Family and Premium from an individual 1TB per person to a shared pool for up to six users.

New subscriptions started on or after October 8th, as well as subscriptions repurchased after expiration, will be subject to the 2TB shared storage from the outset. This represents a two-thirds reduction, from the previous maximum of 6TB to a maximum of 2TB.

Since 1TB was previously allocated to each individual, the total usable limit for the entire family will be significantly reduced. For users who were utilizing large capacities across the entire family, this change effectively means a capacity reduction, even at the same price.
