Fujifilm announced on October 27th that it will launch the new hybrid instant camera model 'instax mini Evo 2' for its instax 'Cheki' series on November 27th. The price will be open. While inheriting its classic design and analog controls, this will be a high-spec model equipped with a large 4.5-inch LCD monitor, touchscreen operation, and recording performance of up to 13 megapixels.

A major feature of the 'instax mini Evo 2' is that it enhances the shooting performance as a digital camera, in addition to the traditional fun of shooting, selecting, and printing. It adopts a 4.5-inch LCD monitor, approximately 1.5 times larger than the mini Evo, and supports a touchscreen monitor for the first time in the instax series. Flash settings and image browsing can be performed intuitively, significantly improving operability during shooting.

The range of photographic expression also expands. In 'instax Expanded View' mode, a wider area than the actual print range is displayed on the screen, making it easier to capture the timing of moving subjects. The 'instax Immersive Movie' function allows recording a 5-second video leading up to pressing the shutter, capturing atmospheres and subtle changes in expression that are difficult to convey with just a still photo. Using the dedicated app, it's also possible to download images and videos, share them on social media, and use the device as a smartphone printer.

The effect functions are also noteworthy. By combining 10 types of lens effects and 10 types of film effects, users can enjoy 100 different photographic expressions. The camera body features a curved form and analog controls with a satisfying click, designed to make the act of shooting itself enjoyable. A dedicated camera case will also be available.
