Ryohin Keikaku
On September 24, Ryohin Keikaku announced the "Yuttari Suwareru Personal Sofa" (Comfortable Personal Sofa), a new single-seater sofa. It will be released on October 7 for 17,900 yen. Key features include a seating experience that envelops the body and a design that easily fits into living spaces.
The wide seat allows for easy relaxation, accommodating various postures such as sitting cross-legged or raising one's legs. With cushioning in the backrest, it's designed for extended periods of use, whether for reading or watching videos.
The main body combines materials with different levels of elasticity to achieve a seating comfort that prevents excessive sinking. Its gently connected backrest and armrests provide an easy way to lean back and relax.
The cover is removable and washable at home. Six types of replacement covers are also available, allowing users to choose according to their interior decor or personal preference. Replacement covers are priced at 7,000 yen.
When it comes to Muji's single-seater sofas, the long-selling "Body Fit Sofa," released in 2003, is particularly famous. Its unique seating experience, where micro-beads conform to the body, earned it the nickname "sofa that makes you useless" on social media, quickly making it a popular product. Following the bead sofa that has been loved for over 20 years, attention is now on whether this new "personal space," made entirely of urethane, will establish itself.
