On display at the ROOX booth was an item aptly named the "VR Sleep Pillow." When lying down with a VR headset on, a regular pillow causes the back of your head or the headset to press uncomfortably, making it quite uncomfortable to sleep. This item was born from the idea: "Why not just create a pillow specifically for VR from the start?"

At the booth, we were able to try out four different types of pillows, varying in shape and material. Particularly impressive was a bead cushion type with a gentle indentation in the center, designed to comfortably cradle the back of the head. When resting your head, it minimizes unnecessary pressure around the headset, offering a sensation quite different from a regular pillow.

While VR often brings to mind images of playing standing or sitting, there are also situations, such as watching videos or relaxing, where you might want to lie down and use it. However, an unexpected obstacle in such cases turns out to be the pillow. The idea of optimizing even bedding, which one normally wouldn't think twice about, to suit VR usage is quite interesting.

While the use case of "sleeping while in VR" might sound quite niche at first, actually lying down with a headset on makes the desire for a dedicated product strangely understandable. For those who want to make their VR life as comfortable as possible, this was a very intriguing item.
