Perixx Computer GmbH has announced the release of two new trackball mice, the "PERIMICE-822" and "PERIMICE-522." Both models feature a large 40mm diameter trackball, designed for intuitive index-finger operation.
These new products boast an ergonomic design aimed at reducing wrist strain, a common issue during extended desk work and telecommuting. Since they can be operated without moving the mouse body, they are ideal for space-constrained environments, enabling smooth fine pointing and long-distance navigation. The buttons are programmable, allowing users to assign functions like copy & paste, forward, and back via Perixx's proprietary settings page, "Perixx Console."

The lineup includes two variants: the "PERIMICE-822," which supports both Bluetooth wireless and USB receiver connections, and the "PERIMICE-522," a USB wired model. The 822 is positioned for users who prefer a cable-free, tidy desk, while the 522 caters to those prioritizing stable connections and silent clicks. Key specifications are approximately 16.5 cm (W) x 9 cm (D) x 4.5 cm (H) in size, a weight of approximately 0.181 kg, 6 buttons, DPI settings of 400/800/1200/2400, and a 40mm trackball.
A unique feature is the inclusion of expansion holes on the bottom of the device, allowing users to attach 3D-printed stands or adapters. This enables adjustment of the tilt angle to achieve a more natural wrist posture, appealing to trackball enthusiasts and DIY-oriented users alike.
