Lawson's 297 yen bento: The side dish is incredibly minimalist!

On September 29th, Lawson launched "Gohan ga Susumu Keema Curry (Super Spicy)" and "Shikitsume Gohan Yaki Tomorokoshi" from its "Itten Toppa Sugi!" (Too Focused!) series. Both are priced at 297 yen.

The "Itten Toppa Sugi!" series slashes prices by up to 50% compared to same-sized bentos by limiting ingredients to just one type. These two new items mark the second week of a campaign that kicked off on September 21st and 22nd.

This bento features a modest dollop of super spicy keema curry. It embodies the "Itten Toppa" (single-point breakthrough) style, encouraging you to enjoy your rice with minimal accompaniment.

This bento features grilled corn spread across the entire surface of the rice, with grilled corn as the sole side dish. It's finished with a savory soy butter sauce.

Itten Toppa: Meanwhile, "Too Luxurious" Also Makes an Appearance

In the first week, Lawson also released items like "Itten Toppa Sugi! Gohan ga Susumu Bodakko (Salmon)" (297 yen), which focused its side dish solely on flaked salmon, garnering attention for its extreme simplicity. This time, two more audacious items have appeared at the same price as the "Bodakko" bento: super spicy keema curry and grilled corn. In particular, the "Gohan ga Susumu Keema Curry (Super Spicy)," with its small dollop of curry, has a striking appearance that at first glance resembles a Hinomaru bento. And it's super spicy...

Meanwhile, new products are also appearing from the "Zeitaku Sugi!" (Too Luxurious!) series. On September 28th, "Nikuzukushi Manpuku Noko Ton Ramen" (Meat Feast Full-Bodied Rich Pork Ramen) topped with three types of meat, and "Kaisenzukushi Pescatore" (Seafood Feast Pescatore) topped with shrimp, squid, and clams, were released.
