Elecom has launched a "35-Piece Socket and Bit Set with Ratchet Handle and Precision Screwdriver Handle," widely usable for DIY, motorcycle and bicycle maintenance, and even precision equipment repair. The price is 3,499 yen.
This product features a configuration that brings together 8 types of sockets for hex bolts and nuts, 10 types of screwdriver bits compatible with Phillips, flathead, and Torx (hexalobular), plus 12 types of precision screwdriver bits for delicate work (totaling 35 pieces, including handles and case). The ratchet handle can switch between clockwise rotation, fixed, and counter-clockwise rotation, allowing for efficient tightening and loosening tasks. The precision screwdriver handle is said to be suitable for small screws found in laptops, game controllers, smartphones, cameras, glasses, and more.
The accessories are also substantial. It includes both standard and flexible extension bars, making it easy to reach narrow or recessed areas. Bits and sockets can be easily attached and detached with magnets, reducing the hassle of repeatedly switching tools during work. The external dimensions of the case are approximately W125 x D41 x H180mm, and it weighs approximately 525g.
For storage, a dedicated case with recesses designed to fit each part is used, considering portability and storage. The lid is transparent, making it easy to check the contents, and it also features a hook hole for hanging on walls or other surfaces. While surface treatment has been applied, it does not completely prevent rust, so after getting wet, the product must be wiped with a dry cloth and thoroughly dried before storage.
