Elecom has launched a website, "Mother and Child Support Initiative," introducing the group's efforts to support mothers and children. The site disseminates information on initiatives such as the foster parent support system, collaborations with local children's homes, and medical education support using the neonatal resuscitation training device "Saving baby." This endeavor aims to visualize the company's commitment to addressing social issues through concrete activities.
The new site organizes and introduces the Elecom Group's activities, centered on initiatives for raising children across society and efforts to protect the lives of mothers and babies. Featured content includes the foster parent support system, which encompasses everything from foster parent certification training to post-placement support; exchanges inviting children from children's homes in Kanagawa Prefecture to the training facility "Lectore Hayama Shonan International Village"; and educational support for neonatal resuscitation methods that aid medical professionals both domestically and internationally.
"Saving baby" is a neonatal resuscitation simulation assistance device designed for use with smartphones and tablets. It creates a training environment that closely mimics actual resuscitation procedures, playing a crucial role in enhancing the skills of medical professionals. A key feature is its potential to extend support to regions lacking sufficient training opportunities and medical education resources.
Furthermore, coinciding with "Foster Parent Month" in October, the company participated in "Relay of Kindness," an event promoting the foster parent system held on October 16th at the Saitama Prefectural Citizens' Health Center in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. Dr. Kota Hada, Director and Executive Officer, delivered a lecture titled "Why Foster Parents Are Needed Now: What We Can Do, What Companies Can Do," outlining the background of the foster parent support system and the roles companies can play. Through the website launch and event participation, Elecom aims to broadly communicate how society can support family-based care.
