On October 29, the YouTube channel "Bakidou Channel [Gunpii]," boasting 2.05 million subscribers, announced on X that it would be changing its ending sequence starting in November. The ending song, a beloved fixture for roughly five years, will be replaced due to YouTube's music identification system.

The problem stems from an original song produced by rapper Shinpeita specifically for the channel. Although it was based on the instrumental of one of Shinpeita's own existing tracks, multiple videos were flagged by YouTube's system as containing an existing song, making its continued use problematic.

The song was created in a video published in December 2021. Shinpeita penned the rap lyrics, drawing inspiration from Gunpii's life story. Since then, it has served as the channel's signature ending theme.

Shinpeita's passing was announced in November 2025. In its recent announcement, the channel once again reiterated its gratitude to Shinpeita for creating the track.

Details regarding which specific song YouTube's system identified, the potential impact on revenue, and the exact method of the change remain undisclosed. On X, users expressed regret, with comments like "It's a shame, it was a great song" and "Sad to lose the familiar outro." There were also messages of gratitude, such as "I was happy they continued to use it even after he passed," alongside questions regarding YouTube's music identification accuracy.
