Docomo SMTB Net Bank announced on October 30 that it will refresh "V NEOBANK" as "NEOBANK CASH," with services commencing on March 29, 2027. The new service will offer up to 1.5% equivalent in rewards for debit card usage and will introduce a proprietary point system exchangeable for cash, replacing the traditional V Points.

Banking services such as deposits and transfers will continue, and the branch name will change from "V Point Branch" to "Ginkgo Branch." Existing users' branch numbers and account numbers will remain unchanged, and generally, no procedures will be required.

The new "NEOBANK CASH Points" can be exchanged for cash in increments of 100 points, starting from 500 points. They can also be used for debit card payments at a rate of 1 point = 1 yen.

The debit card reward rate will be 1.25% equivalent for monthly usage of 1,000 yen or more. An additional 0.25% equivalent will be added if the total balance of yen ordinary deposits and SBI Hybrid Deposits is 1 million yen or more at the end of the month, bringing the maximum reward to 1.5% equivalent.

Receiving salary or pension will earn 30 points per month, direct debits will earn 5 points per transaction, and transfers of 10,000 yen or more from other banks will earn 20 points per transaction. Conversely, benefits such as foreign currency savings and new housing loan borrowings will be discontinued.

Transactions eligible for V Point accrual and usage will end on February 28, 2027, with a transition to the new point system from March 1. Furthermore, from April 1, the number of free ATM usage transactions and free interbank transfer transactions will be reduced from five times per month to two times each.
