Balmuda announced on September 29 the full renewal and release of its flagship toaster product, "BALMUDA The Toaster," and its high-end model, "BALMUDA The Toaster Pro." The price for The Toaster is ¥39,600, and for the Pro, it's ¥46,200.
The current model, "K11A," was released in 2023 with Balmuda's official retail price of ¥33,000. The new model sees a price increase of ¥6,600. The Pro model also increases by ¥7,700, from the current ¥38,500 to ¥46,200.
What has changed are the operating modes. Previously, it featured "Toast," "Cheese Toast," "French Bread," "Croissant," and a "Classic Mode" allowing temperature selection at 170℃, 200℃, and 230℃. In the new model, French Bread and Croissant have been integrated into a "Bakery Mode," and "Sourdough Mode" and "Steam Deli Mode" have been newly added. Classic Mode has been reduced to two temperature settings: 170℃ and 230℃.
Sourdough Mode is designed for high-moisture and dense breads such as sourdough, pain de campagne, German bread, and bagels. Steam Deli Mode applies the re-heating technology for fried foods cultivated with the "ReBaker," released in 2024. It is said to be able to quickly crisp up fried foods and deli items when reheating.
The basic dimensions are W357×D321×H209mm, with a weight of approximately 4.1kg. The Pro model, as before, features a "Salamander Mode" that uses powerful top heat to quickly brown the surface.
While raising prices, this renewal enhances dedicated modes for different types of bread and adds a re-heating function for deli items. It can be said that this model change expands its role from a simple toaster to a full-fledged cooking appliance.
