Tofu takes center stage!

Beef bowl chain Yoshinoya will launch the 'Beef Tofu Don' at its nationwide stores starting October 29 at 11 AM (excluding some locations).

A donburi (rice bowl) combining beef and tofu, where 'tofu takes center stage.' It's also worth noting for those who enjoyed the 'Gyusuki Don.'

Yoshinoya Introduces 'Beef Tofu Don'!

The 'Beef Tofu Don' is a new menu item featuring plenty of tofu combined with Yoshinoya's beef, all enjoyed with a special sauce.

The special sauce uses Yoshinoya's original soy sauce-based tare. The sauce is said to have a refreshing flavor that highlights the soy sauce aroma, enhancing the deliciousness of the tofu and the umami of the beef.

It's topped with green onions for a finishing touch. You can enjoy the sauce-soaked tofu and beef together with rice.

Tofu Takes Center Stage? Also Noteworthy for 'Gyusuki Don' Fans

Even looking at the official images, there's plenty of tofu. The press release also states, 'This is a donburi where tofu takes center stage, enjoyed with Yoshinoya's beef and a special sauce.'

Speaking of donburi with tofu, the 'Gyusuki Don' comes to mind. It was a product introduced in 2022, allowing customers to enjoy the taste of Yoshinoya's popular winter menu item, the 'Gyusuki Nabezen,' in a donburi format. It was sold last year, but has not appeared so far this year.

The Gyusuki Don was also a delicious dish with flavorful, sauce-soaked tofu (this writer, Nabeko, loved it too). While the seasoning for this 'Beef Tofu Don' seems to be different, it might just appeal to those who enjoyed the Gyusuki Don.

As the weather gets colder, a menu item like this sounds perfect, doesn't it? I'm looking forward to it!
