ASUS JAPAN announced on October 28th new laptops, the "ASUS Vivobook S16 (S5608)" and "ASUS Vivobook S14 (S5408)," capable of handling a wide range of tasks from daily work to AI processing and creative applications. Sales will commence sequentially from October 28th, with a total of 9 models available for the ASUS Store: 4 models for the S16 and 5 models for the S14.

Both products are equipped with an 8-core, 8-thread Snapdragon X X1-26-101 processor and a Qualcomm Hexagon NPU with up to 45 TOPS of performance. This design facilitates efficient on-device AI processing, and Microsoft's AI assistant can be invoked via the Copilot key. They come with 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and 256GB or 512GB of storage, supporting multitasking.

Portability is also a major feature. The ASUS Vivobook S14 (S5408) boasts a thin and light design at approximately 1.28kg and 1.49cm at its thinnest point, while the ASUS Vivobook S16 (S5608) secures a large screen despite weighing approximately 1.6kg. Both models feature a full-metal body and offer durability, having cleared MIL-STD 810H compliant tests. The OLED displays feature a 16:10 aspect ratio WUXGA resolution, with the S16 using a 16-inch panel and the S14 a 14-inch panel. They are designed to vividly display videos and photos with a DCI-P3 100% wide color gamut and high contrast.

Battery life is stated to be up to 30 hours, and they support fast charging, reaching up to 60% in approximately 49 minutes with a 68W Type-C charging adapter. Interfaces include two USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, HDMI, and a headphone/headset combo jack, making it easy to connect peripherals without an adapter. Furthermore, in addition to proprietary apps like GlideX, ScreenXpert, StoryCube, and MyASUS, they also support two-way AI noise cancellation, ASUS OLED Care, and a comprehensive warranty service, broadly supporting daily use.
