The Digital Agency announced on October 2 that the "My Number Card on Android" service will launch on October 20. Users will be able to add their My Number Card to Google Wallet on compatible Android devices and use it.

The electronic certificate function is already available on Android. Through MynaPortal, users can check medication, medical expenses, and pension information, and apply online for things like tax returns and moving procedures. It also supports obtaining copies of resident records and seal registration certificates at convenience stores.

From October 20, the "attribute verification function" will be implemented, enabling identity verification, age verification, and address confirmation using an Android smartphone at participating stores and services.

Service providers can support reading the card by using the "My Number Card Face-to-Face Verification App" provided by the Digital Agency. Users will need an Android device that meets certain security standards, and details such as compatible models are expected to be announced by October 20.

It should be noted that the "My Number Card on iPhone" service launched in June 2025. It also included the attribute verification function from the outset.
