DX Antenna and Nippon Antenna, both group companies of Elecom, will merge with an effective date of October 1. The surviving company, DX Antenna, will change its name to "Nippon DX Antenna Co., Ltd." on the same day. Under the new company name, the corporate logo will also be refreshed, and the company aims to strengthen its business structure across the broadcasting, telecommunications, security, and disaster prevention sectors.
This merger integrates the high-frequency, antenna, and broadcasting-related technologies cultivated by DX Antenna, established in 1956, with the product development capabilities of Nippon Antenna, established in 1953, which supports everything from home TV reception equipment to disaster prevention radio and local 5G. By consolidating the functions of both companies, they aim to improve operational efficiency and enhance the corporate value of the entire Elecom Group.
The new corporate logo was designed by artist Asao Tokolo. The logo expresses an attitude of "challenge" and "growth," using the letters N, D, X, and A from "Nippon DX Antenna" to represent the company's main product, the antenna. Furthermore, the corporate colors have been refreshed, and new logotypes and logomarks have been created. A distinctive feature, similar to Elecom's logo, is the adoption of a structure based on integer ratios.
Koichi Iwami will serve as the Representative Director and President of the new company. Under the new structure, the company is poised to offer higher quality and a wider range of solutions across the broadcasting, telecommunications, security, and disaster prevention sectors.
