Matsuya, known for its gyumeshi (beef bowls), is releasing a new product, "Goro Chiki Chili Sauce," starting today, October 20th. We're truly impressed by Matsuya's characteristic free-thinking approach – "As expected!" – and can't wait to try it and see how it tastes.

Matsuya Gives "Goro Chiki" a Chinese Makeover

Matsuya's Goro Goro Chicken, affectionately known as "Goro Chiki," has been given a Chinese-style twist. This new dish features generous pieces of chicken coated in a spicy doubanjiang and a sweet-and-sour special chili sauce, served atop fluffy eggs on a sizzling iron plate.

Goro Chiki Chili Sauce Teishoku (Set Meal) - 990 yen

Eating it with the fluffy eggs is said to add a mellow richness to the spiciness. The set meal includes rice, miso soup, and fresh vegetables.

Goro Chiki Chili Sauce - 890 yen

A "Goro Chiki Chili Sauce" (rice set) without fresh vegetables is also available. For those who prefer just the main dish, the "A La Carte Goro Chiki Chili Sauce" is 790 yen. Matsuya also suggests a donburi-style eating method, where you generously pile the Goro Chiki Chili Sauce on top of rice.
