Polar Electro Japan has expanded its lineup of the screenless wrist-worn healthcare band "POLAR Loop" and released the "POLAR Loop Magnetic Silicone" on October 15. Alongside this, the "POLAR Loop Magnetic Silicone Wristband" and "POLAR Loop Armband" were also released on the same day as interchangeable accessories. The main unit is priced at 30,800 yen, while both the replacement wristband and armband are 5,500 yen each.
The POLAR Loop is a wearable device that records daily activity, sleep, and exercise in the background, without a screen, notifications, or alerts. Data can be viewed via the dedicated "Polar Flow" app, and it supports up to approximately 8 days of continuous use. The new POLAR Loop Magnetic Silicone model features soft silicone material and a magnetic attachment/detachment mechanism, along with a reversible design that allows users to enjoy different colors on each side, and 30m water resistance. It comes in two colors, black and beige, and is available in S-M size, including both S and M size wristbands.
The main unit measures 42mm (W) x 27mm (D) x 9mm (H). Its weight is 19.5g (without wristband), 43g (S size), and 47.5g (M size). Compatible OS are iOS and Android. The new POLAR Loop Armband, introduced as an accessory for easier use during training, allows the POLAR Loop unit to be worn on the upper arm. Since the upper arm is closer to the heart and less prone to shifting than the wrist, it is said to support stable optical heart rate measurement even during high-intensity exercise. It is easy to use in situations where wrist-wearing can be cumbersome, such as running, cycling, or gym workouts.
The replacement POLAR Loop Magnetic Silicone Wristband is available in black and beige, size S-M, and priced at 5,500 yen. The POLAR Loop Armband comes in one color, gray, and is available in two sizes, S-M and L-XL, priced at 5,500 yen. Furthermore, as a launch commemorative campaign, from October 15 to November 4, customers who purchase a POLAR Loop from the official Polar online store will receive a free replacement wristband. This product expansion extends the POLAR Loop's capabilities from daily use to serious training, all while maintaining the comfort of its screenless design.
