Sycom announced its support for Hōō High School, operated by Kibogaoka Gakuen Educational Foundation, in a special lesson titled "Expressing Gratitude to Loved Ones with Video Generation AI." The lesson was held on September 5th in Minamisatsuma City, Kagoshima Prefecture, and Sycom provided assistance with building and operating a production environment that utilizes local AI. During the class, parents were invited, and students engaged in an activity to "create videos expressing their feelings for family" using generative AI.
For this initiative, Sycom's high-performance PCs were utilized to perform video generation processing in a local environment. This allowed students to learn the fundamentals of creating content without sending sensitive information, such as family photos, externally. The curriculum not only covered the advantages of using generative AI but also explained privacy considerations and potential drawbacks. Following sample introductions and operational demonstrations by the instructor, students then actively engaged in video production.
To facilitate the practical application of local AI in educational and creative settings, Sycom offers comprehensive support that extends beyond PC provision to include the construction and operation of AI environments, as well as technical guidance. The company also plans to organize future creative projects and presentation events utilizing local AI, signaling its ongoing commitment to activities in the generative AI field.
