Elecom will release two models of its "Super Slim HDMI Cable" in mid-September. These Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable certified products feature super-slim cables and compact connectors. Prices are ¥2,580 for the 1m model and ¥2,780 for the 1.5m model. These cables can be used with PCs, game consoles, TVs, AV amplifiers, soundbars, projectors, and other devices equipped with HDMI ports.
The new HDMI cables feature super-slim cables with a diameter of approximately 3.2mm and connectors that are approximately 19% smaller than conventional models. They support video transmission up to 8K (7,680×4,320px)/60Hz, 4K (3,840×2,160px)/120Hz, and Full HD (1,920×1,080px)/240Hz, achieving high-speed transmission of 48Gbps. A key feature is their reduced interference behind TVs and around switchers, making cable management easier and tidier.
In terms of features, these cables support HEC (HDMI Ethernet Channel) for up to 100Mbps bidirectional communication, eARC, Dynamic HDR, Dolby Vision, BT.2020 video transmission, and Game Mode VRR. For high-quality audio playback, if the connected device supports eARC, audio from game consoles and recorders can be sent to AV amplifiers and soundbars with high fidelity. They also support copyright protection technologies HDCP2.3, HDCP2.2, and HDCP1.4, and are designed for use with Nintendo Switch 2/Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5/4.
The product lineup consists of two black models: the 1m model (model number ECDH-HD21SS10BK) and the 1.5m model (model number ECDH-HD21SS15BK).
