
HP Japan has announced two new AI PCs, the "HP EliteBook 8 G2iW 14" and "HP OmniBook X Aero 14," which boast lightweight designs and robust local AI processing capabilities. The HP EliteBook 8 G2iW 14 will be available starting October 7, while the HP OmniBook X Aero 14 is slated for release in late November or later. Suggested retail prices start from ¥529,100 and ¥209,800, respectively.
The HP EliteBook 8 G2iW 14, designed for business users, is an AI mobile PC equipped with the latest Intel Core Series 3 processors, offering up to 39 TOPS of processing performance across the entire system. It also provides options for a high-resolution 2.2K display and a 5MP + IR camera, aiming to enhance comfort during video conferences and document viewing. Depending on the configuration, it features a lightweight body weighing less than 1kg, Wi-Fi 7, optional 5G connectivity, and a 56Wh battery, designed to boost mobility for hybrid work. Furthermore, it prioritizes post-deployment maintainability and security with features like a replaceable keyboard and HP Wolf Security.
The HP OmniBook X Aero 14, aimed at individual consumers, is a model that condenses high productivity into a 14-inch chassis weighing less than 1kg. It adopts Intel Core 5 and Core 7 processors, achieving up to 21 hours of battery life for local video playback. With options for up to 32GB of memory and up to 1TB of storage, a 2.2K-compatible 16:10 display, a 180-degree hinge, and a rich array of ports including Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.1, it supports a wide range of uses from work to entertainment.
