While Regza has led the market in 2026 by widely deploying RGB Mini LED LCD TVs, its high-end lineup, featuring the iconic "TimeShift Machine," is pursuing image quality enhancement through an approach different from RGB Mini LED LCD.

The TimeShift Machine, a signature feature of Regza, is an all-channel recording function that has been continuously inherited since its first appearance in the "CELL Regza" in 2009, and has long been popular as one of Regza's key selling points.

According to a survey conducted by the company on TV replacement trends, 87.4% of users who own a TimeShift Machine-equipped model responded that they "want to repurchase it next time."

Furthermore, comparing daily broadcast viewing times, TimeShift Machine users were found to enjoy TV approximately 1.7 times longer than non-users. This high level of satisfaction, where "once you use it, you'll definitely want to choose it again, and enjoy your favorite programs more freely," is reflected in the numbers.

The new products also offer an enriched TV experience by combining the next-generation video processing engine "Regza Engine ZRα" with the TimeShift Machine.

Z9 Series Sees Significant Brightness Boost Through Power System Overhaul!

The most significant feature of the Z990S (Z9 series), the flagship LCD Regza, is the adoption of a newly developed "High-Brightness Fine Mini LED LCD" panel. By fundamentally overhauling the backlight's power system, it achieves up to 1.4 times higher brightness compared to conventional models for full-white images. The LCD panel incorporates a low-reflection AR coating, a wide-angle sheet, and a wide-angle LCD panel, ensuring that contrast does not degrade when viewed from an angle, allowing for vibrant images.

Additionally, "Mini LED Scene Reproduction AI Scene High Picture Quality" allows AI to identify scenes and adjust them to convey brighter sunlight, even in scenes bathed in sunlight. While boosting peak brightness in bright, overall scenes was previously considered difficult, the newly incorporated "Mini LED Scene Reproduction Brightness Boost" makes this possible, improving the reproduction of dazzling light and intense sunshine.

It also excels in video response, with "Advanced Clear Smooth" inserting black frames in each area to reduce motion blur in fast-moving images. It grasps the entire scene, finely controlling brightness by increasing it and shortening black insertion time in bright areas, and suppressing brightness and increasing black insertion time in dark areas. Furthermore, "Real Black Area Control PRO" dynamically controls not only the LED lighting time but also the current for each subdivided area. Meanwhile, the OLED flagship X990S (X9 series) adopts a new generation "RGB Tandem OLED panel." The key point is the inclusion of a proprietary "Double Aluminum High Heat Dissipation System." Previously, it combined a heat-dissipating resin layer with an aluminum back cover, but this model features a two-layer aluminum heat dissipation structure consisting of a heat-dissipating aluminum layer and an aluminum back cover.

The X990S is available in two sizes: 55V and 65V.

This new mechanism enables higher brightness expression even in scenes that are entirely bright, which OLED traditionally struggled with. Brightness has improved by 1.3 times compared to previous models. Furthermore, the newly developed "Advanced AR Coat" halves external light reflections, achieving deep blacks and vivid, high-quality images. The "OLED Light Reproduction AI Scene High Picture Quality" function depicts the sparkle of stars in the night sky and the glow of city lights in dazzling night scenes, reproducing brilliant visuals.

Image Quality Engine Evolves with Panel Advancements

Image quality enhancement features have also evolved. "AI Scene High Picture Quality PRO" has expanded its genres to include live broadcasts, sun-drenched landscapes, nightscapes, fireworks/starry skies, golf/soccer, ring sports, and anime.

"Online Video Beauty PRO" automatically determines the content type (video, film, digital anime, cel animation, etc.) using AI, even for online videos without genre information, and optimizes them. AI detects film grain and suppresses noise according to the content, while anime footage is enhanced with "Anime Beauty PRO." Additionally, for streaming videos up to HD resolution, 3D image quality processing is intentionally repeated twice to reproduce high-definition images with less noise.

"Terrestrial Digital AI Beauty PRO" features an evolved cloud AI image quality technology that uses image adjustment parameters from the cloud, now supporting 65 detailed genres and 328 individual program titles. Furthermore, "AI Natural Focus Technology PRO" allows AI to identify subjects such as human faces and clothing, creating high-definition, three-dimensional images. The expanded dynamic range also improves the sense of depth.

"Omakase AI Picture PRO," which adapts to indoor environments, has added a new "Brightness Detection Sensitivity Adjustment Menu." This enables highly accurate detection even in lighting environments with spotlights, automatically adjusting to a gentle, easy-to-view picture quality in a nighttime living room, and a crisp, vivid picture quality in a bright room during the day. The "Easy Adjustment" feature also allows users to easily select preferences such as a natural, master monitor-like tone or vibrant, colorful visuals.

Audio is Another Appeal of Flagship Regza

Both models support 5.1.2ch immersive sound. The Z9 series features "Heavy Bass 3D Sound ZIS," driving 13 speakers with a 150W multi-amplifier, while the X9 series features "Heavy Bass 3D Sound XIS," driving 18 speakers with 180W.

The X9 series' low-frequency range is enhanced by a bazooka woofer employing passive radiators. Both models boast improved clarity thanks to a newly developed time alignment algorithm. "New AI Comfortable Listening" separates voices and ambient sounds using AI, enhancing realism by applying surround effects to stadium cheers, for example.

Also included are a 20-band equalizer and a loudness optimizer. "Synchro Drive," which simultaneously operates the TV and Regza Sound System, provides integrated sound and visuals.

Pay Attention to the Evolution of Regza Intelligence

"Regza Intelligence" features, designed to improve usability, have also been enhanced. "Personal Zanmai Smart Access" is equipped with a profile switching function, allowing users to display personalized menus simply by speaking to the TV using voiceprint recognition. Combined with the "Personal Program Guide & Recording List," it can display screens tailored to each family member.

Additionally, the "TimeShift Machine Compatible Double Window" allows users to enjoy online videos or mirrored content from smartphones while watching TimeShift Machine recordings. Enhanced Remote Control, Screen Size Select Function Also Included

The remote control is equipped with direct buttons for online video services and a My Choice button. It supports AirPlay 2 and screen mirroring, allowing wireless display of smartphone or PC screens on the TV. It also features a "Screen Size Select" function, which can switch the screen size to actual 85, 65, 55, or 43V models, useful for gaming or close-range viewing.

Through the fusion of new technologies and AI functions, Regza has further enhanced the TV viewing experience. The flagship models equipped with TimeShift Machine have significantly evolved, thanks to the convenience of TimeShift Machine and the high image quality delivered by the newly developed Mini LED LCD and OLED panels.
