Delivery pizza chain Pizza Hut will begin pre-selling three new 'Mala Tang Pizza' products, supervised by Mala Tang specialty restaurant 'Qi Bao Mala Tang,' exclusively on Uber Eats starting today, October 1st.
Sales via the official website, app, in-store, and phone are scheduled to begin on October 8th.
It Even Has Glass Noodles! Qi Bao Mala Tang Supervised 'Mala Tang Pizza'
The 'Mala Tang Pizza' features classic Mala Tang ingredients such as Korean glass noodles, pork, and wood ear mushrooms as toppings on the pizza. It combines mozzarella and Gouda cheeses.
The key sauce uses Sichuan peppercorns, five-spice powder, two types of Sichuan pepper oil, and mala oil. It's a 'shibi-kara' (numb-spicy) creation, featuring the numbing sensation of Sichuan peppercorns and the spiciness of chili peppers.
Available in S and M sizes, and also in the MY BOX, a single-serving option that includes fries.

The pre-sale on Uber Eats runs from October 1st to November 4th. Additionally, a campaign is underway where ordering the S or M size of 'Vegetable Mala Tang Pizza' or 'Seafood Mala Tang Pizza' via Uber Eats will include one bottle of Pepsi-Cola.

From October 8th, general sales will begin at Pizza Hut locations nationwide (excluding some stores). For takeout, the 'Mala Tang Pizza' S size starts from 880 yen.
Furthermore, the Mala Tang Pizza series can be chosen as the first pizza in a campaign where ordering two eligible pizzas grants the second pizza free for takeout, or half price for delivery.

Glass Noodles Stretching from a Pizza!?
The popular Mala Tang restaurant 'Qi Bao Mala Tang' and Pizza Hut are collaborating in an unexpected way!
Looking at the official images, the glass noodles are clearly stretching out from the pizza. According to Pizza Hut, they selected Korean glass noodles that are resistant to breaking even when absorbing moisture, and devised a way to ensure their chewy texture can be enjoyed on the pizza.
Glass noodles on pizza... what will it actually be like!? Also, I'm curious if they've managed to capture the unique numb-spicy flavor of Mala Tang in a pizza.
