Numerous assets on Celsys' "CLIP STUDIO ASSETS," a material sharing service for "CLIP STUDIO PAINT," became private around September 22. Celsys explained on the following day, September 23, that the number of unpublished assets was increasing due to checks in line with their operational policy. They apologized for the lack of explanation.

On social media, reports poured in that not only human poses and 3D models but also pens, speech bubbles, and tones were missing, leading to complaints that the publishing criteria were unclear.
According to Celsys, downloaded assets can still be used unless they were deleted as infringing material. Assets that were incorrectly judged or have been corrected to an unproblematic state will be gradually republished after review.
Furthermore, they implemented an update allowing users to re-download acquired assets from "My Downloads" even if they become private, completing the update on the evening of September 23.
The background to this is the global expansion of ASSETS' usage. Celsys explained that because the perception of expressions varies by age, culture, and region, they need to consider "who sees what and how" for sensitive content. They also stated that the current measures do not evaluate the works or the authors' expressions themselves as "inappropriate."
Going forward, they plan to enhance publishing rules and provide more specific examples, as well as strengthen age restrictions, region-specific display controls, and content filters.
