ASUS Japan announced on September 18th the "TUF Gaming K4 Magnetic," a 75% size gaming keyboard featuring magnetic key switches. Sales will commence on September 25th, priced at 16,980 yen. It will be available in two model numbers: "R704 TUF K4 MAG/RD/US/PBT/BLK" and "R704 TUF K4 MAG/RD/US/PBT/WHT".

The standout feature of the TUF Gaming K4 Magnetic is its magnetic key switches, which allow for actuation point adjustment in 0.01mm increments, ranging from 0.1mm to 3.3mm. This enables users to precisely fine-tune the input depth according to game type and playstyle, making it an ideal design for those who demand delicate control. Additionally, it supports hot-swapping, providing customization options through switch replacement.

In terms of responsiveness, the keyboard supports a polling rate of up to 8,000Hz, reducing input lag to as low as 0.125ms. It also features Rapid Trigger and Speed Tap modes, which excel in scenarios requiring rapid key presses and instant resets. Despite its compact 75% layout, it includes a dedicated volume knob, allowing for intuitive volume adjustments even during gameplay, which is a practical advantage.

Attention to typing feel is also meticulous. In addition to a gasket mount structure, it adopts a 5-layer sound-dampening structure, including PORON pads and silicone sheets, aiming for a quiet and comfortable typing experience by suppressing echo and metallic sounds. The keycaps are made of highly durable double-shot PBT, which helps prevent shine and wear even after long-term use. Two models are available in black and white, allowing users to choose according to their gaming setup or desk aesthetic.
