Elecom will release four new wired mechanical keyboards from its 'Leggero' series in early October. These models feature USB-A to USB Type-C cable connectivity. The lineup includes two tenkeyless models and two full-size models, with users able to choose between Red (linear) and Silent Red (linear) key switches. Prices will range from ¥8,980 to ¥12,980.
The new models are wired mechanical keyboards characterized by keycaps designed to fit the fingers comfortably and offer a smooth, soft typing feel. They feature a minimalist design, omitting kana characters from the key legends, which combines a sophisticated aesthetic with enhanced focus during typing. The tenkeyless models prioritize space-saving, while the full-size keyboards are suited for tasks involving numerical input, such as in Excel.
In terms of features, they support three operating systems—Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS—and offer plug-and-play functionality, ready to use simply by connecting. An AI assistant key allows users to launch Copilot or Siri, and 12 types of multi-function keys are also included. Furthermore, they are equipped with highly durable mechanical switches rated for up to 50 million keystrokes, a 1,000Hz polling rate, and N-key rollover support, aiming for stable operability in gaming and high-speed typing scenarios.
The products feature a Japanese layout compliant with JLA-425, along with angle adjustment stands and non-slip pads.
