ASUS Japan will launch the "TUF Gaming K4 Magnetic," a 75% size gaming keyboard featuring magnetic key switches, on September 25th.
The "TUF Gaming K4 Magnetic" is equipped with magnetic key switches that allow users to adjust the actuation point in 0.01mm increments, ranging from 0.1mm to 3.3mm. It also supports hot-swapping, enabling switch replacement to suit different uses or preferences. Furthermore, with an 8,000Hz polling rate, latency is suppressed to just 0.125ms, and it also features Rapid Trigger and Speed Tap modes. These specifications make it highly compatible with FPS and action games that demand high-speed input.
The typing experience has also been carefully considered. It adopts a 5-layer sound-dampening structure, including a gasket mount design, PORON pads, and silicone sheets, designed to suppress reverberation and metallic sounds during key presses. In addition, it uses highly durable double-shot PBT keycaps, which are said to resist shine even after long-term use. A dedicated volume knob is also included, allowing quick volume adjustments even during gameplay.
The chassis features a compact 75% layout, minimizing desk footprint while ensuring all necessary key operations. It comes in two colors, black and white, making it an easy choice for users who prioritize aesthetic consistency.
