Elecom will release 19 items across three series of "privacy filters" designed to protect against prying eyes while on the go or in the office, starting in mid-September. Prices range from 4,681 yen to 14,300 yen. The lineup includes two standard types and an antibacterial type, allowing users to choose according to their screen size and laptop model.
The new products are engineered to make the screen appear black when viewed from angles exceeding a total of 60 degrees (30 degrees to the left and right of the screen's center). While effectively preventing unwanted glances, the anti-glare processing diffuses reflections and reduces screen glare. Furthermore, they boast blue light reduction, over 99% UV cut, and a hard coat treatment equivalent to 2H pencil hardness, making them ideal for daily portability and extended work sessions.
The standard types are divided into two lines: the general-purpose "EF-PF1D series" and the "EFWPFX series." The EF-PF1D series supports various sizes including 13.3-inch, 14-inch, 15.6-inch, 17-inch, 19-inch, 21.5W-inch, and 23.8W-inch, offering approximately 75% light transmittance, approximately 42% blue light cut, and approximately 99.9% UV cut. The EFWPFX series is designed for 24W-inch and 27W-inch displays, providing approximately 68% light transmittance, approximately 52% blue light cut, and approximately 99.5% UV cut. Both series can be secured in three ways using the included adhesive stickers: directly on the monitor, on the frame, or for sliding in and out.
The antibacterial "EF-PF1J series" models feature an antibacterial treatment that suppresses the growth of bacteria on the film surface. These models have confirmed an antibacterial activity value of 2.0 or higher in antibacterial tests based on JIS Z 2801, and offer approximately 72% light transmittance, approximately 45% blue light cut, and approximately 99.9% UV cut. This series includes models specifically designed for certain Dynabook and Panasonic Let's note models, positioning them as a strong option for corporate use and business terminals where a precise fit is paramount.
