Elecom will release four AC chargers equipped with two USB Type-C ports—the "MPA-AC13420WF," "MPA-AC13420WH," "MPA-AC13530WF," and "MPA-AC13530WH"—in mid-September. The two 20W-compatible models are priced at 2,680 yen, while the two 30W-compatible models are priced at 3,380 yen. Available in two colors, the popular Shiro-chan design and white, this lineup is designed for daily charging of smartphones, earphones, tablets, and more.
The 20W model supports USB Power Delivery, providing a maximum output of 20W when using a single port. When both ports are used simultaneously, the total maximum output is 15W, making it a user-friendly specification ideal for charging smartphones and earphones. The 30W model supports not only USB Power Delivery but also PPS, delivering a maximum of 30W when using one port. When both ports are used simultaneously, it can charge at a maximum of 20W from Type-C Port 1 and a maximum of 10W from Type-C Port 2. PPS is a method that efficiently supplies power by finely adjusting the voltage, designed with compatibility for supported devices in mind.
The 30W model features GaN II Plus and Thermal Protection. GaN II Plus is a high-efficiency design utilizing gallium nitride ICs, a technology that achieves both miniaturization and high output. Thermal Protection monitors and controls the temperature during power supply, acting as a mechanism to protect devices. Both models adopt a foldable plug. The 20W model measures approximately 40mm (W) x 29mm (D) x 33mm (H) and weighs approximately 41g, while the 30W model measures approximately 47.5mm (W) x 29mm (D) x 36mm (H) and weighs approximately 62g. Their portability for business trips and outings is also an attractive feature.
All products comply with the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act (PSE) and have undergone Elecom's proprietary safety tests. They are for use exclusively in Japan, and charging cables are not included, so they must be purchased separately.
