UGREEN Japan released the AI-equipped NAS models, "UGREEN NASync iDX 6011" and "UGREEN NASync iDX 6011 Pro," on September 15. Prices are ¥398,880 for the iDX 6011 32GB, ¥499,880 for the 64GB model, and ¥899,880 for the iDX 6011 Pro 64GB. Purchases can be made through UGREEN's official website, Amazon's official store, Rakuten, and other online stores, as well as major electronics retailers nationwide such as Bic Camera, Yodobashi Camera, and Joshin.
The iDX 6011 series is a smart storage solution that utilizes AI to make vast amounts of photos, videos, documents, and audio data easy to manage. It features universal search, allowing users to find target data from vague memories or keywords even if they don't precisely remember file names or storage locations. It also supports conversational search via the AI assistant "Uliya," document summarization and translation, automatic photo organization and search, and voice control. The design aims to transform data management from a mere "storage task" into a "utilization platform."
At the core of its features is a local mode that completes AI processing entirely within the NAS. This offers a high level of reassurance regarding privacy protection, as AI functions can be used without sending photos, videos, or documents to the cloud. Furthermore, the AI Album function allows photos to be searched using vague conditions like "Enoshima/cafe" or "last Christmas," and it also supports duplicate photo detection and blurring of sensitive images. The Voice Memo function transcribes recordings of meetings and lectures, assisting with summarization and even mind map creation.
The lineup consists of three configurations: iDX 6011 32GB, iDX 6011 64GB, and iDX 6011 Pro 64GB. The iDX 6011 Pro is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H series processor and supports 2x 10GbE, 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, 2x Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 8K 60Hz, PCIe expansion, and SD 4.0. The iDX 6011 measures approximately 294mm (W) x 258mm (D) x 189mm (H) and weighs approximately 6.3kg. The iDX 6011 Pro measures approximately 348.8mm (W) x 260mm (D) x 212mm (H) and weighs approximately 9.2kg.
