To use the feature, long-press the desired chat room in your chat list, then vertically scroll the displayed preview screen. This allows users to review long messages and past conversations without opening the regular chat screen.
Scroll Preview was previously offered as a free preliminary release to all users, progressively rolled out through "LINE Lab," which provides experimental features starting in October. As it transitions to a member benefit for eligible plans from November 4th, even users who enjoyed the free preliminary access will require a valid membership after the official launch.
Meanwhile, the traditional, non-scrollable preview feature will also be made available for the Android version starting November 4th. Similar to the iOS version, this feature allows users to long-press a chat room and view a portion of the message without marking it as read, and it will be accessible even to those not subscribed to LYP Premium.
The LYP Premium Standard Plan costs ¥508 per month for registrations made via the web, and ¥650 per month for registrations made through the LINE app or other channels. LYP Premium with Netflix offers three tiers based on the Netflix viewing plan: ¥890, ¥1,590, and ¥2,290 per month.
