Elecom, in collaboration with Entacare Lab, GLOE, and Shochiku Broadcasting, through the "Puyo Puyo Trainer Production Committee" they established, has officially launched 'Puyo Puyo Trainer,' a "Brain Training x eSports" service developed for elderly care and welfare facilities, starting October 1st. The service is a browser-based subscription, accessible with a PC or tablet and an internet connection. Pricing for the Facility Use Plan is ¥3,300/month or ¥33,000/year. The Event Use Plan is ¥66,000/day, and the Permanent Exhibition Plan is ¥11,000/week.

'Puyo Puyo Trainer' was designed to address on-site challenges such as monotonous recreation activities, varying levels of participant motivation, and the effort required for preparation and facilitation. It features specifications that make it easy for users unfamiliar with games to get started, with careful consideration given to font size, color distinction, information volume, operational flow, and avoiding excessive flashing or effects. No dedicated game console or software installation is required, and it supports guest use without user registration.

Its main features include three modes: a solo play mode, a two-player versus mode, and "Puyo Puyo Drill," which allows users to play at their own pace. The solo mode offers five difficulty levels, and in two-player mode, difficulty can be set individually for each player. Play records and scores for each user are automatically saved and can be exported in CSV format, making it easy to review activities. Another feature is its adaptability to daily routines, from morning free time to afternoon group recreation and even in-facility tournaments.

Applications for purchase or implementation are accepted via the official website and a dedicated form. Currently, it is not available for individual purchase. Additionally, an experience booth will be set up at the "Nakano Creative Festival" on October 31st, providing an opportunity to try out the actual controls. The target audience is expected to expand beyond elderly care and welfare facilities to include pharmacies, community-based integrated care centers, local governments, community organizations, and businesses. Future plans include expanding into community exchange and eSports initiatives.
