Elecom is set to sequentially release a range of cases and protective films compatible with the newly announced Apple Watch Series 12 (46mm/42mm) and Apple Watch Ultra 4 (49mm) from Apple Inc. In addition to the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4, the Ultra series accessories will also support existing Ultra 3, Ultra 2, and original Ultra models. Pricing includes: a full-cover case for Apple Watch Series 12 at 2,180 yen, and a full-cover film at 880 yen. For Apple Watch Ultra 4, a full-cover case will be 2,580 yen, a full-cover film 1,180 yen, and a full-cover glass film 2,390 yen.
This new product lineup features full-cover cases designed to protect both the screen and sides, full-cover films offering shock absorption, scratch repair, and anti-fingerprint properties, as well as highly transparent glass films. The Series 12 cases boast a dual-layer construction of glass and polycarbonate resin, with the screen portion utilizing tempered glass rated at 10H surface hardness. Similarly, the Ultra 4 cases combine Gorilla Glass with polycarbonate material, engineered to deliver both superior transparency and scratch resistance.
A key feature of the films is their 3D and full-round designs, which meticulously follow the unique curves of the Apple Watch, ensuring comprehensive edge-to-edge protection. The full-cover film for Ultra 4 includes a "scratch repair" specification, where minor surface scratches become less noticeable over time. Products with an application tool are also available. Furthermore, the full-cover glass film for Ultra 4 is a ZEROSHOCK type, equipped with a special shock-absorbing layer, and comes in a convenient two-pack.
The size offerings include 46mm and 42mm for Series 12, and 49mm for Ultra 4. The collection primarily focuses on transparent accessories, designed to maintain screen visibility and preserve the Apple Watch's original aesthetic. Elecom also confirms that existing bands can be attached, though users are advised to consult the compatibility chart before making a purchase.
