SteelSeries, a gaming device brand under the GN Group, has announced the limited-edition models 'Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 Cyber' and 'Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 Steel' for its Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 gaming keyboard. Scheduled for release on October 2nd, these models will be progressively available at electronics retailers nationwide in Japan, Amazon.co.jp, and Rakuten Ichiba. The suggested retail price is 45,530 yen.

Both models are based on SteelSeries' proprietary 'OmniPoint 3.0' technology and feature two types of switches: 'Cyber' with 35G actuation force 'Speed' switches, and 'Steel' with 50G actuation force 'Control' switches. This design makes it easy for users to choose according to their playstyle, catering to those who prioritize light, rapid input as well as those who prefer a more substantial keypress. They also incorporate the 'Hall Effect Gen 3 sensor,' touted as an industry first, pursuing high-precision detection and responsiveness.

Attention to detail is also evident in the typing feel. Factory-lubricated switches reduce metallic sounds, and newly designed stabilizers are used for large keys like the spacebar and Shift key. Furthermore, a three-layer sound-dampening design and high-density silicone foam reduce vibration and unwanted noise, aiming for a quiet, deep typing sound. Equipped with per-key RGB illumination, translucent keycaps, a three-stage adjustable stand, and a built-in keycap puller, these models combine usability with aesthetic appeal.
For gaming features, they include 'Rapid Trigger,' 'Protection Mode,' and 'Rapid Tap.' These collectively support rapid re-input, suppression of unintended inputs, and assistance with left/right key switching, boosting the responsiveness and accuracy required in competitive games. Additionally, with 'QuickSet' in SteelSeries GG, optimal settings for each game title can be easily applied, allowing players to transition into gameplay without spending time on intricate adjustments.
