Apple announced on the 14th that Siri AI, a flagship feature of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27, will be available in a beta version in Japanese starting in October (currently English only).
Supported devices are those compatible with Apple Intelligence: iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max and iPhone 16 or later for iPhones; iPad with M1 or later, and iPad mini (A17 Pro); Mac with M1 or later, and MacBook Neo; and Apple Watch Series 9 or later, Ultra 2 or later, and SE 3 when paired with the aforementioned iPhones.

Significantly Enhanced Apple Intelligence, Integrated with Google Gemini, Available in New OS Like iOS 27
While enhanced Apple Intelligence will be available in iOS 27, Siri AI is one of its key features.
Specific new features within Apple Intelligence include intelligent editing tools in the Photos app. Users can correct photo composition after shooting, expand backgrounds, or change the subject's direction. It's also possible to remove unwanted elements that appear behind the subject.

In Safari, numerous open tabs can be grouped by related topics. The "Receive Notifications" feature automatically notifies users when information is updated, such as product restocks or price drops on e-commerce sites.

For "Shortcuts," while users previously had to set somewhat complex conditions and tasks, Apple Intelligence will now automatically assemble the necessary steps based on the user's verbal descriptions.
You can create a shortcut by simply describing it verbally, for example, to automatically add an email containing important information from school to your calendar and reminders.
And then there's the highly anticipated "Siri AI." With context understanding, broad knowledge, and recognition of on-screen content, it enables more detailed answers and natural conversations. Another notable feature is the ability to seamlessly continue conversations across other Apple devices (Mac/iPad/Apple Watch/Vision Pro) even if you start on an iPhone, provided you use the same Apple ID.

To realize these advanced features, a new model has been built in collaboration with Google, integrating with their Gemini model. This latest model leverages both on-device and cloud processing. It is strongly emphasized that user personal data is protected, meaning it will not be stored or accessed by anyone, including Apple.
Note: Unavailable in EU and China Until Regulations Are Cleared
Furthermore, this new Apple Intelligence will initially be unavailable within the EU due to the EU's Digital Markets Act. Apple commented, "Apple is working hard to find a path forward while protecting user privacy and security." Similarly, it will be unavailable in China "while we work to address regulatory requirements."
