Elecom will speak at the "Product Safety Field: NITE Seminar for Fiscal Year 2026," hosted by the National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (NITE) on November 18. The event will be an online live stream, utilizing Microsoft Teams Town Hall. Participation is free, with a capacity of 3,000 attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. Shohei Mitsui, Assistant Manager of Elecom's Quality Assurance Department, will take the stage to introduce the safety measures and quality control initiatives for products equipped with lithium-ion batteries.

The seminar's theme is "Preventing Accidents with Lithium-Ion Battery-Equipped Products: Safety Measures Required of Businesses." Products used for charging smartphones and tablets, including mobile batteries, generally incorporate lithium-ion batteries, necessitating safety measures at every stage: design, manufacturing, use, and disposal. Elecom is consistently committed to ensuring safety and quality from the planning and design stages through evaluation, verification, mass production, and shipment, and the presentation will outline their approach to preventing accidents.

Elecom's presentation is scheduled from 2:50 PM to 3:30 PM. Mitsui, who will be speaking, joined the company in 2013 and has since been involved in quality control for powered products such as mice and mobile batteries. He has a background in promoting quality assurance at production sites, primarily in China, and establishing quality control systems at new production bases in Southeast Asia. The presentation is also expected to introduce the company's cross-group initiatives aimed at enhancing product safety.
