ASUS Japan announced that it will sequentially launch two new products from its Republic of Gamers (ROG) gaming brand: the 32-inch 4K tandem WOLED gaming monitor "ROG Strix OLED XG32UQWMS" and the 27-inch QHD WOLED gaming monitor "ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG Gen2 (XG27AQDMGR)". Both will be available starting October 16th at consumer electronics retailers nationwide and e-commerce sites.
The ROG Strix OLED XG32UQWMS is a high-end model featuring a 32-inch, 4K (3,840×2,160) resolution tandem WOLED panel. It supports a dual mode that allows switching between 4K/240Hz and FHD/480Hz via hotkey operation, reportedly covering a wide range of uses, from titles prioritizing visual fidelity to FPS games requiring smooth display. With a response time of 0.03ms (GTG), its 4-layer stacked structure is said to improve peak brightness by 15%, color volume by 25%, and panel lifespan by up to 60%.
Common features to both models include a TrueBlack Glossy panel that reproduces deep blacks while suppressing reflections, and a Neo proximity sensor that automatically switches to a black screen when the user leaves. For the XG32UQWMS, a Zero Haze optical layer reduces reflections by 38% compared to conventional glossy WOLED panels, offering a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1, DCI-P3 99.5%, ΔE＜2, and VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification. Furthermore, it incorporates ASUS OLED Care Pro, a custom heatsink, and GaNFET technology to reduce burn-in risk and improve heat dissipation performance.
The other model, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG Gen2, is a 27-inch model equipped with a QHD (2,560×1,440) resolution WOLED panel, supporting a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms (GTG) response time. Clear Pixel Edge suppresses red and green fringing around text, and Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) reduces ghosting and blur, making it a configuration that prioritizes readability not only for gaming but also for text-based work. It also features a 24.5-inch equivalent display mode and a stand that supports height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments.
The XG27AQDMG Gen2 boasts DCI-P3 99%, ΔE＜2, VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification, a peak brightness of 1,300cd/㎡ in HDR, and a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1. Its stand is 30% smaller than previous XG series models, designed to save desk space. Both products come with a 3-year product warranty, including panel burn-in coverage, making them attractive new options for users considering long-term use.
