Chibo-supervised burger arrives at Komeda

Komeda Coffee Shop today, October 14, is launching the "Okonomiyaki Burger," a collaboration with the okonomiyaki specialty restaurant "Chibo," at stores nationwide (excluding some locations).

The sales period is scheduled to last until mid-November.

Komeda's First "Okonomiyaki Burger" Appears! Realized Through Collaboration with Chibo

At Komeda Coffee Shop, "burger" items are a familiar part of the food menu. This time, a burger supervised by "Chibo," an okonomiyaki specialty restaurant from Osaka, makes its debut. This Okonomiyaki Burger is a first for Komeda.

Fluffy buns sandwich okonomiyaki, crisp cabbage, and an egg omelet.

It is said that the burger recreates the authentic taste of Chibo's okonomiyaki, combining Chibo's unique fluffy okonomiyaki texture with their original sauce.

The rich flavor of the sweet and savory sauce and the aroma of katsuobushi (bonito flakes) intertwine, accented by the refreshing tartness of beni shoga (red pickled ginger). The gooey egg omelet is said to bring the entire burger together with a mellow finish.

Takeout is also available. Please note that due to limited quantities, sales are scheduled until mid-November but will end once supplies run out.

Nagoya-Born Komeda Collaborates with Osaka's Okonomiyaki

A product development representative states, "You can enjoy both the deliciousness of okonomiyaki and the appeal of a burger." Komeda's first Okonomiyaki Burger certainly piques interest.

Personally, I found it exciting that Komeda Coffee Shop, which originated in Nagoya, is collaborating with a long-established okonomiyaki specialty restaurant from Osaka.

Speaking of Komeda's burgers, they are characterized by soft, larger-than-average buns that are distinct from those of typical hamburger chains. They're so big you might even want to cut them with a knife. This Okonomiyaki Burger also looks like it will be a satisfyingly hearty meal!
