Daiichikosho, which operates "Karaoke Big Echo," announced on October 8th that a malware infection was discovered at a Japan Columbia Group company, its business subcontractor, and that customer and employee information may have been affected.
The infection was confirmed on one employee PC belonging to Japan Columbia Group, the company's subcontractor. Potentially affected data includes approximately 8.631 million customer records and approximately 93,000 employee records, which contain names, dates of birth, email addresses, and phone numbers.
NCG is continuing its investigation and states that the possibility of a leak cannot be ruled out at this stage.
