Porsche Japan and Porsche Financial Services Japan announced on November 5th that unauthorized access occurred at Prestige Core Solutions, a contractor handling services such as roadside assistance, and that customer information may have been exfiltrated.

Prestige International, the contractor's parent company, had already announced on November 2nd that personal information was exfiltrated from its reception and arrangement system for services including roadside assistance. Unauthorized access was detected on October 29th, and while measures such as invalidating authentication credentials were taken, access continued thereafter, leading to the system's shutdown on October 30th. Operations are continuing through alternative arrangements.

The contractor announced that up to approximately 5.5 million cases were affected. This figure encompasses the entire system for operations commissioned by multiple clients and includes duplicates. The affected system included names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, vehicle registration numbers, chassis numbers, accident and breakdown reception information, and some financial institution account information.
