On October 14, IDC Frontier released its fifth report regarding the incident caused by unauthorized access to its cloud service, "IDCF Cloud." Among the 495 affected companies and local governments, it has been confirmed that backup data retrieval is now possible for 194 customers. Meanwhile, registration information for 48 companies was reportedly illicitly accessed via the management portal.

Regarding data recovery, after confirming safety with an external security expert company, it was determined that backup data for 194 customers who utilized the snapshot function can be retrieved. However, server restoration is not yet complete, and the feasibility of data restoration and delivery methods will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

For the management "IDCF Cloud Portal," it was revealed that company names, login IDs, hashed passwords, notification email addresses, and total monthly usage fees for 48 companies were illicitly accessed. For two of these companies, email addresses potentially containing personal names were also targeted, but IDC Frontier states that no evidence of information being exfiltrated externally has been confirmed.
