米Googleが運営するニュース検索「Google News」への掲載審査手続きが、大幅に遅れている模様だ。同社のGoogle Help forum にて社員のHarvey P. 氏が明らかにした。
Google Newsは同社の審査を通過したメディアのみをインデックスの対象としている。サイト運営者自ら申請を行うことも可能で、Googleの審査を通過すればニュース検索にも掲載できるようになる。今回はこの申請作業が滞っているとのことだ。
Harvey P. は2010年12月中旬の段階で、審査に遅れが出ていることを明らかにし、2010年末まで続く見込みとアナウンスしていた。しかし、年明けの現在に至っても、直近2カ月に申請をしたサイトのレビューが遅れているという。
Currently, we've slowed down our submission review process.
