ＧＳユアサ・三菱商・三菱自、リチウムイオン電池で合弁会社設立

［東京 １２日 ロイター］ ジーエス・ユアサ コーポレーション<6674.T>、三菱商事<8058.T>、三菱自動車工業<7211.T>の３社は１２日、大型リチウムイオン電池の開発、製造、販売を行う合弁会社を設立した。生産規模は２００９年度に年産２０万個を計画している。
合弁会社「リチウムエナジー ジャパン」（京都市）の資本金は当初５億円。出資比率はＧＳユアサ子会社のジーエス・ユアサ パワーサプライ５１％、三菱商事３４％、三菱自動車１５％となっている。２００８年４月の増資で４０億円に増額される予定となっている。
リチウムイオン電池は大容量かつ高出力な特性から使用が広がっており、合弁会社では電気自動車用などの大型リチウムイオン電池の開発から製造、販売を行う。
